Just got back from giving blood. 1st time I’ve ever dont it, so it was a bit odd.Feeling a little off at the mo, the walk home, uphill in the sun didn’t really help.

One thing I did find really odd was that reading all the stuff about who can and can not give blood it seems to be biased against gay men. For some reason, if you have ever had anal sex with another man, or you are a woman who has had sex with a guy who has had anal sex with another guy, then you can not give blood, regardless of if you used a johnny or not. Which I must say is kinda strange. Id of thought at least if it was bagged correctly then they would allow you to donate, after all they test every sample before clearing it to be used.

If anyone knows why this is I’d love to know, as I find it just odd.
