I watched the documentary last night (pedigree dogs exposed) and to say the least I was shocked and horrorfied.

I knew some dogs had quite bad medical conditions but I never knew it was this bad or that the Kennel club didn’t really give a shit about the health of the dogs that they are supposidly maintaining the standards for.

The show has really put me off getting a pedigree dog, crufts and the Kennel Club of Great Britain.

One good thing to come from the show, other than a beter awareness of these issues, is to hear that in the Swiss kennel club they have already banned inbreeding of pedigrees to try and reverse the issues with bad health.
